I initially stumbled across this book at a library and it was good enough to track down and own. Milne has a gentle English wit that consistently makes me chuckle. His humorous essay on the nature of Christmas cards is right on the money and his description of cutting the quail pie at the dinner party made me laugh out loud. How can you go wrong on a classic and the other books that he wrote, forget the time they were written in and immerse yourslef in them
This is a poem book similar to Winnie the Pooh. I have read Winnie the Pooh many times and like it very much.
These are a series of great essays written by A. A. Milne. His humor is delicious and the topics wonderfully real.
WARNING I am writing in reference to three books" "Not That It Matters," "If It May," and "The Holiday Round," all written by A.A. Milne. None of these editions contain any author or publisher information, copyright information or ISBN number. The only identifier is a note saying "Made in the U.S.A. San Bernadino, CA." "Round" was issued in November 2016; the other two are dated December 2016. Most likely the text has been pirated and no royalties were paid to author estate or publisher. This is unethical at best and the practice may be illegal (or it should be.)
A Milne is the author of Winnie The Poo - But there is nothing simple minded about this collection of essays. Milne was quite a writer, and I enjoyed his essays.
Milne was a truly humane human being who did not hesitate to puncture the inane idiocy that controls much of public life around the world. This is a great read. It arrived promptly and in excellent shape. Thank you.
